Kati Howard, MSN, FNP-C - a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing with Women’s Healthcare Associates since 2004.  She is married with four children.  She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nursing from West Texas A&M University. Prior to graduate school, she worked in the operating room doing orthopedics and plastic surgery for four years. 

As a Nurse Practitioner with Women’s Healthcare Associates, she sees both gynecologic and obstetric patients.  Kati is also trained in urodynamics.

Kati has always had an interest in cosmetic medicine and aesthetics. She loves working with women both with healthcare and aesthetic needs. She has been doing laser hair removal and Intense Pulsed Light treatments since Spring 2007 with success.

Pennie DeVore, L.E., MES - Pennie has relocated to Amarillo from the Northeast with her husband and two children. Growing up an hour outside of Manhattan, Pennie took advantage of the opportunity to be involved in the cosmetic industry in one of the busiest cities in the world. Throughout her career, Pennie has participated in numerous group meetings, which asked her opinion on product development and marketing strategies for high-end, medical grade cosmeceutical companies such as LaRoche, Posay, Biomedic, SkinCeuticals and Prescribed Solutions.

Pennie has worked along side Board Certified Physicians specializing in Pediatric Dermatology, General Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology, and MOH's Surgery for a multitude of years. Certified in Facial Rejuvenation and Skin Resurfacing, she has mastered skills in cutting-edge medical grade cosmeceuticals, as well as skin care treatments including peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, dermal fillers and botox. Pennie is also a member of the Society of Dermatology Skincare Specialist, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and the National Coalition of Estheticians.

Pennie's passion for skincare has allowed her to assist, both, adolescents and adults with acne by personally customizing homecare programs and suggesting in office treatments that improve the condition of their skin.

Crystal Fiola, L.E., MES - a licensed Esthetician with five years experience in skin care. She moved to Amarillo in 2010 with her husband and two children. Crystal is from New Mexico, where she attended Esthetician school and graduated in the top of her class. She went on to receive her license in, both, New Mexico and Texas. Crystal is trained in skin care, hair removal procedures and a variety of esthetic treatments. Prior to relocating to Amarillo, she enjoyed working as an Esthetician at Hilltop Escape Day Spa in Clovis, New Mexico. She is most interested in medical esthetics, providing her clients with customized treatments and products to help them achieve the best results.

Outside of work, Crystal loves spending time with her family and friends and watching her children play sports. She also enjoys exercising, cooking and being outdoors.

Mark Bedard, LMT - was born in Sarnia Ontarion, Canada. He moved to Amarillo in 2007, where he received his massage therapist license. Mark has been with Awaken Spa since opening, in April 2008. His specialties include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and sports massage. Mark also is trained in Ionithermie cellulite reduction therapy.

When not doing massage, Mark enjoys traveling, hockey, golf and weight training.


Rhianon Whitney, Make-up Artist - has been active in the cosmetic field for many years. After having worked at David's Bridal as an Image Specialist for weddings and other formal events, she followed her passion to the cosmetic industry accepting a position at Estee Lauder. During her three years as a cosmetic consultant at Estee Lauder, Rhianon obtained the knowledge to be a skilled make-up artist.
